RECOMMENDATIONS FOR MOUNTING AND USE
When mounting
the panels some place for thermal expansion coefficient of the material
should be left (~3 mm per 1 m of sheet length), allowing prevention
of its deformation;
Panels should
be placed so that reinforcement plates are oriented vertically;
Bending direction
should correspond to the lengthwise direction of cross walls;
It is recommended
to wash the panels with lukewarm water and a soft cloth;
Do not rub and
clean with the help of sharp objects; do not use abrasive cleaning
agents, as well as cleaning agents containing aromatic hydrocarbons
(gasoline, acetone)
.
In vertical
and slope mounting of sheets loose edges should be hermetically
sealed to prevent formation of condensate and penetration of dust
into sheets. Upper loose edges should be sealed with self-adhesive
aluminum tape upon which polycarbonate U-profile is placed. Lower
loose ends should be sealed with a self-adhesive ventilation tape
to ensure drying of condensate; polycarbonate U-profile is applied
on top. In arched constructions both loose edges of the material
should be hermetically sealed with self-adhesive ventilation tape
with polycarbonate U-profile on the top. Connection places of sheets
and U-profile are hermetically sealed with silicon.
To fasten sheets
to a frame with screws, holes should be slightly bigger than the
diameter of screws. Screws should be fitted with sealing rings ensuring
waterproofing.
Structured polycarbonate
is easy to drill. Holes should be drilled between reinforcement
plates and they should not be situated less than 40 cm from the
edges of sheets.
Polyurethane-based
adhesives are used for bonding of structured polycarbonate sheets.
Cutting of sheets.
The material is easy to saw; it can be cut without using electric
equipment. Most qualitative cutting of sheets can be carried out
using circular saw with decelerated speed. Sheets should be well
fastened during cutting to prevent its vibration.
In formation
of slope construction minimal angle is 5°. Sheets should be
mounted with an UV-protected surface facing upwards. Protective
film on this side of sheet is specially marked.
